Dr. Megan Gliniecki Ph.D, LCP

I graduated from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a degree in chemistry then studied psychology at The University of Texas, Austin. I earned my Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from UTSouthwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. I have been trained in both empirically supported treatments (e.g. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and more traditional therapies (e.g. Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Existential, and Mindfulness modalities) such that I approach each client in a unique way, forming an individualized treatment plan and way of interacting.

My training and experience have taught me that the most important factor in helping others and achieving change is the relationship between the therapist and client.  Therefore, I am very interactive in sessions, asking questions that will help clients reach their own conclusions about what self-determined actions will lead them toward the life they want to create.
